Happy New Year everyone. I'm very excited about 2008 and I have a couple things to mention here.
1. Dinos are playing at Emo's on Wednesday Feb. 27th with Chinese
stars and Red X Red M, and Doods are playing at the beauty bar the
next night (feb. 28th) opening up for Leslie and the Lys.
2. Doods as well as the Dinos have been invited to play SXSW this
year. More details about that week as they come to us.
3. Both bands have finished our new albums! The guest vocal project
for the ACD album has proved to be great fun for sure. So far we've got vocals
from Jim Cooper (Frodus, Baby Teeth, Detholz, Bobby Conn), B.J. Warshaw (Parts
and Labor, Shooting Spires), Diamond Caverns, Karl Doerfer (Detholz,
Bobby Conn), Kklovenhoof, Ben Aqua (Assacre, MVSCLZ), Twin Powers,
George Dishner and maybe some others depending on what happens in the next couple of days.
We have a lot of songs and we're gonna whittle it down to about
30 minutes of Schizoaffective dancey musics for your aural pleasures.
It's looking like a real live label is gonna put it out. Again, details to follow on that.
4. A couple things brewing on the tour front as well. Dinos will be
doing a couple of weeks mid april, and doods will be out in the fall
with our new record. Looking like we might end up in Europe as well
this fall.
Well friends best of luck to you and yours.

When Dinosaurs Ruled the Earth video on Pitchfork
November 4th update
Hello,
Here is the video that When Dinosaurs Ruled the Earth just finished.
Big ups to Birds on Fire for doing it, and big downs to New Nate for not shaving to get into the Pat Smear character.
Hello Internet users. Hope this finds you well. The weather is perfect down here in beautiful Austin, Texas and I wish you were here with me....
Along with our good friends Oh, Beast! we've been practicing our tribute to huey lewis and the news which we are doing on Tueday Oct. 30th at beerland. Our friend Dave Bryant is doing Roky Erickson, Pataphysics is doing Hall & Oates, and opening up is Jazzus Lizard (jesus lizard and john coltrane mixed up!) I think I'll try to film it and I'll post it if it comes out worthwhile.?!?
The album is coming along swimmingly and the guest vocalists experiments are really making this fun to be a part of. We're gonna lay low and finish up the album in November and we'll be touring in the beginning of 2008.
Check back in a few days and we'll be posting the new When Dinosaurs Ruled the Earth video.
Take'r sleazy

August 1st 2007 update!
I'm sorry to be the one to break this to you, but unfortunately for you we are still a band. I pray to god that we are not the only people who have been listening to disco nonstop for 24 months straight. I'm serious!!!!!!!!! Our new recordings are attempts at many different modes of disco. Modern space-disco, Giorgio Moroder rip offs, Death Disco stabs, and lo-fi, lo-caine bedroom disco jams. We are contacting (and contracting) all kinds of fucks ups around the world to lend vocal support to our new songs. I have no idea how it's going to turn out. Who cares!? At least we are making more songs. And much like 9/11 we haven't forgotten who donated to our rebuilding fund and you will be receiving a very special vinyl copy of something that we haven't actually finished yet.
As far as our other stuff goes…
When Dinosaurs Ruled the Earth just finished a Midwest/East Coast Tour and we've been in the studio recording our second batch of songs. For more info on WDRTE check out MySpace HERE.
I just got off the phone with Jay and he's been traveling a lot this summer and is about to finish up an album with Scott Metalic.I'm excited to hear that shit.
Furniture Records is on our uhh volume 2 release of sheets of easter everywhere. The oneida cover song project… For more info on Sheets of Easter Everywhere and the furniture records family head on over to the MySpace page HERE.
P.S. For all non-disco lovers I'll take this moment and suggest a couple non-disco jams that have been blowing my mind…
Psss. For all people that maybe want to try out some disco I suggest starting with Giorgio for the more electronic stuff (avoid anything he touched post 1981 like the plague!) and/or:
